What has made us Xpand: dedicated to the company’s 13th Anniversary!

Ivan Cherkashyn, CEO of Xpand Ukraine:

Thirteen years ago, in 2010, two developers started working with a Belgian company on their product. This was the beginning of Xpand, an independent company that provides various services related to Microsoft products and has since developed its own products. Sergii Chernenko, founder and inspiration behind Xpand, created the company's philosophy and taught colleagues how to collaborate while enjoying their work.

Over the past 13 years, Xpand Ukraine has grown and developed, facing both pleasant and challenging moments. The company has had to adapt to the challenges that occurred in the world and the country. However, these experiences have led to positive changes and have shaped Xpand into what it is today. With 67 friends and colleagues, Xpand continues to grow and expand, solving business challenges for clients around the world using a wide variety of technologies.

The company has been through various crises, such as when Celenia ceased to exist in 2010, which led to the creation of Xpand. Later in 2016, the bankruptcy of Logiqstar, with which Xpand worked closely, taught the company to diversify its projects and services. In 2018, the sad news of Sergii's death showed the importance of life and of doing what you love at work. In 2020, Xpand adapted to the "new normal" of working outside the office from any place and point in the country, while the world was learning to live during the pandemic and lockdowns. Then in 2022, a full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine began, changing the company and its employees' lives forever. Xpand Ukraine as well as the world is now experiencing economic turbulence and the beginning of a crisis, but the team is no longer afraid of challenges, knowing that they lead to fundamental changes.

As Xpand Ukraine celebrates its 13th anniversary, the company is grateful for the journey and the challenges that have brought it to where it is today. The team is prepared for whatever tomorrow may bring, confident that all trials will have a positive outcome. The company believes in relying on themselves, close ones, and teammates to work together and achieve their common goal.
